SimplyEncrypt Android app: SimplyEncrypt will protect your files with ease.
After providing SimplyEncrypt with a secret passcode, just Share a file to encrypt and protect it.
Choose between lock pattern, numeral pin code, or a regular password as you passcode.
Share the protected file again and SimplyEncrypt will prompt you to insert your passcode. It will then decrypt it, detect the relevant application and start it with the decrypted file.
After viewing/editing your file, the decrypted file will be re-encrypted if modified, and the Cleartext file will be deleted.

The decrypted file will only be readable by the single application you selected and only for the duration it is opened.
However, please note that applications can decide to retain a copy of the Cleartext file in a different location.
This is known to be done by Adobe® Acrobat Reader®.
You can also use SimplyEncrypt internal file browser for selecting files for encryption or decryption.
When encrypting a file you can select whether to keep the encrypted file in its original location, move it to SimplyEncrypt internal secure storage, or just copy it and leave the original file in its location.
SimplyEncrypt uses Android document integration, and can open various type of files with a single click. This feature is disabled by default and you can enable it per file type via the settings menu.
Files encrypted to SimplyEncrypt internal storage will be deleted if SimplyEncrypt is uninstalled or its data cleared.
Data clear will also delete the random key, and prevent decryption of any file encrypted with it, unless the secret key is imported.
SimplyEncrypt provide you a way to backup its random key using 2D barcode image, and it is highly recommended to export the key and print it for later use.
When needed you can import the backed-up key (SimplyEncrypt use ZXing barcode reader)
You will still need to remember your passcode as your files are encrypted with the combination of both the key and your passcode.
SimplyEncrypt uses PBKDF2 for passcode and encryption key protection, and 256 bit AES for file encryption.
Please note that it is not recommend to use Simply Encrypt as the single place to keep important files.
